The three most important programming tool associated with web technologies are Java, ActiveX and Javascript.
JAVA

- Java enables computer applications to run on the internet.

 - It was the first include sounds, animations in web pages.

 - Java programs run inside your web browser if you have.

 - When Java programs are run inside a browser they are called applets.
JAVA _SCRIPT

- Javascript is one of the new breeds of web language called scripting languages.

 - Javascript was originally developed by Netscape Corporation.

 - It includes a convenient syntax, flexible variable type and easy to access to the browser features.

 - JavaScript is supported on more platforms than Java.

 - JavaScript can be combined directly with HTML.

 - JavaScript structure is simpler than that of Java.
ACTIVEX

- It is a technology from Microsoft Corporation allow an internet programmer to create a programme.

- Like Java applets, these controls are downloaded to your computer and run there.

- They can do anything that a normal application can do.

- To run these controls, a browser that supports ActiveX, such as Internet Explorer, is needed.

- One benefit of ActiveX controls is that they are written as components, which means they can be put together, much like building blocks, to build larger and more complex applications.

- When you visit a page with a complex Actix application on it, you may need to download only a small portion of it because you may already have the other components on your computer. 

INTERNET PHONE

- Internet telephone refers to the use of public internet for voice transmission.

- It enables the subscribers of internet services to used computer to make long-distance telephone calls.

- The revolutionary part of using the internet to make a phone call from your PC, its free as you pay only for your connection.


INTERNET VIDEO

The internet begins as a way for people to share text-based information such as email, discuss group and file transfer.

Today the technologies have advanced for beyond text.

Currently, on the internet, you can have video conferences in which talk live with someone and see them live on the computer screen using the webcam.


Collaborative Computing

The building of networks and the establishment of communication protocol have contributed to distributed systems in which computer linked in a network on different Co-operative.

Collaborative computing facilitates the team-based organization through its ability to allow the geographically.

Collaborative computing Environment include at a minimum the following functions ;

i) Facilities to create organised and distribute documents and data-based such as credit card data basis.

ii) E-mail

iii) Developed and application to interface in different Co-operate and other computing systems.
